There currently are 'hundreds' of psychology theories that differ on how to bring change and what causes personal or interpersonal problems. Most are opposed not only to each other, but take a very unbiblical view of how to help others.

The matrix of ministry can be traced again and again. With the Apostle Paul, the matrix was around church planting and church revitalization. During the Reformation, the matrix was around reforming the church and recovering the Scriptures. During the first half of the 20th century, the matrix was around the struggle with apostasy.
