Knowledge—Or A Lack Thereof

God said through Hosea,

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge . . . Because you have rejected knowledge I will reject you from serving as my priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God I will also forget your sons.    Hosea 4:6 (HCSB)

How typical. Where is the true knowledge of the Lord in our land today? O, yes, there are some who teach knowledge from the Word of God—but few. Look at the error that is rampant on every hand!

Knowledge requires the hard work of mining the truth of God from the Bible. But so many are willing to settle for nice words, clever sayings, easy teaching. NO—God will settle for nothing less than knowledge—truth that is clear, pointed, and substantive.

How much real knowledge of the Scriptures do you possess? Unless you are willing to take the time to obtain it from thorough study of the Bible you won’t have it. And because you abandoned the knowledge of God . . . your sons ( children, the next generation) will be abandoned by God.

Think this through—don’t let false teachers today destroy you and your family!
